user experience, web design, web development
I strive to build and design applications that better the lives of users and solve problems in ethical ways. User-centered design is the key to any successful product, and I work to create engaging designs that give people the information they need efficiently.
In May of 2019, I graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in Web Application Development and a French minor. As I learn more about web development, I am finding my passion for UI/UX, accessibility, usability, and ethical design, which integrate my strengths in design, problem solving, and computing.
I love finding problems and seeking out multiple solutions. Most problems do not have one right solution, so I love optimizing solutions to make them as efficient as possible.
Working two jobs while being a full time student requires being organized to make sure nothing slips through the cracks. In user experience, attention to detail is critical in both research and design.
Communication is the key to getting everyone on the same page. Often the focus is placed on speaking and writing, but I believe listening is as important or more important when working on a team.
I have worked on many teams in corporate and educational settings as a web developer, team leader, user experience consultant, and project manager. I strive to encourage and support the people on my team.
HTML, CSS, Java, PrimeFaces, Bootstrap, PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery. My experience with web development programming languages gives me a strong foundation for developing applications using a variety of tools.
Mainly Photoshop and Illustrator experience, some InDesign experience. I created promotional graphics and posters for my university's collegiate D1 athletics program.
User experience is a critical piece of designing websites and applications, and I love hearing from users and incorporating their feedback into the design.
Poor written communication is a huge barrier to success. I love helping others refine their written work to tell their stories as impactfully as possible.
